Death by Paula

I really had thought I'd seen it all from Paula Deen. I've watched her lick a spatula of whipped butter and cream cheese, pile three blocks of Velveeta into a batch of innocent grits, fry a Snickers bar and top it with whipped cream...oh how the list goes on. Well today she really took it to a whole new level, and not even the pregnant woman in me would give in to this heart attach on a plate.

Presenting the sausage, egg, bacon and DOUGHNUT sandwich:
I snapped this pic right off the tv screen, which took talent since we don't have anything fancy like TiVo

Oh Paula, how you do amaze me! Who knows, maybe next she'll find a way to fry a stick of butter and then drizzle it with special butter sauce, and maybe top it off with baked butter chips. YUM!

(side note #1: to her credit, at least she did use Krispy Kreme's) ;-)
(side note #2: don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of Paula's, I just won't be making this recipe any time soon!)

The wait is over!

This week we went to THE ultrasound. The one that I had been losing sleep over for days. The one that made the night before seem like it was Christmas Eve, and would decide if we needed to buy pink, or blue..bows, or bow ties. Well...there was no denying it, our baby is not the slightest bit shy. IT was there, loud and clear.

And we couldn't be happier.

Century Ride

On Saturday the 11th, Brenden participated in the Amtrak Century Ride with our Uncle Kyle. It was 100 miles, from Irvine to Downtown San Diego. He did really awesome and enjoyed it a lot! I was surprised how much energy he had afterwards, it seemed like he could have ridden all the way back up to Irvine no problem. Crazy man of mine! Five hours on a bike seat? No thanks...being the photographer/cheerleader for the day was exhausting enough. I probably would have gotten a cab after about..oh...ten miles and had them drop me off somewhere near the finish line. :-) Good job Bren!
